# ❗️ Rules

#### **Scope & purpose** <a href="#scope-and-purpose" id="scope-and-purpose"></a>

These rules explain what’s allowed, what’s not, and how we enforce policies across the platform, official apps, and public social channels. They’re designed to keep the community safe, creative, and trustworthy while preserving creators’ rights and protecting users from fraud. These rules apply to: • All interactions inside the platform (clients, browser preview, creator tools, marketplace, LAND pages, support tickets). • All official social media channels and community spaces managed by the project — for example: Discord and Twitter — and to any user posts that are explicitly shared to official project feeds, pinned posts, or promoted by the project. • Any official events, contests, drops, or partner promotions associated with the platform. *By using the platform or participating in official community channels you agree to follow these rules. Failure to comply may result in warnings, content removal, temporary restrictions, account suspension, or legal action depending on severity.*

***

#### **1. Community conduct (behavioural rules)** <a href="#id-1.-community-conduct-behavioural-rules" id="id-1.-community-conduct-behavioural-rules"></a>

**1.1 Be respectful** Treat everyone with respect — harassment, hate speech, targeted insults, threats, or doxxing are strictly prohibited. Repeated antagonistic behaviour is grounds for ban. Harassment includes persistent unwanted messaging, stalking, or encouraging others to harass a user.

**1.2 No illegal activity** Do not use the platform or official channels to plan or commit unlawful acts (fraud, money laundering, distributing illegal materials). Suspicious financial behavior will be reported to appropriate authorities as required by law.

**1.3 No sexual exploitation or sexual content involving minors** Content that sexualizes minors or depicts sexual exploitation is strictly banned and will be reported immediately to law enforcement.

**1.4 No threats to life or safety** Any threats of violence or content encouraging self-harm, suicide, or other dangerous acts will be escalated to safety teams and may be referred to law enforcement.

**1.5 Respect privacy** Do not share private data about others (addresses, private communication, private keys, full legal names tied to wallets) without explicit consent.

***

#### **2. Content rules (what you may publish / post)** <a href="#id-2.-content-rules-what-you-may-publish-post" id="id-2.-content-rules-what-you-may-publish-post"></a>

**2.1 Allowed content** Creative works (original levels, art, assets, music) that comply with IP rules and community standards. Educational, entertainment, and promotional material aligned with platform guidelines.

**2.2 Prohibited content** Copyrighted content you do not own or do not have permission to publish. This includes pirated assets, stolen code, and unlicensed music. We will remove infringing content when properly notified (DMCA or equivalent). Explicit pornography or extreme sexual content (platforms used by minors must remain safe). Hate content that promotes violence or discrimination against protected classes. Fraudulent or deceptive listings (fake giveaways, fake team members, impersonation of staff). Malicious software, malware, exploits, or guides that enable cheating or network attacks.

**2.3 Moderated content & takedowns** The platform reserves the right to remove content that violates rules or is reasonably harmful. Creators will be notified of removals and may be given limited opportunity to correct or appeal (see Appeals). Content that violates law or safety rules may be immediately removed without notice.

***

#### **3. NFTs, Marketplace & Economic behavior** <a href="#id-3.-nfts-marketplace-and-economic-behavior" id="id-3.-nfts-marketplace-and-economic-behavior"></a>

**3.1 Honest listings** Be transparent about what buyers receive (licenses, rarity, utility). Misrepresenting metadata, royalties, or ownership is prohibited.

**3.2 No wash trading or market manipulation** Artificially inflating prices, wash trading, and pump-and-dump schemes are banned. Evidence of manipulation will result in delisting, sanctions, and possible reporting to relevant authorities.

**3.3 Royalties & IP representation** When minting, creators must truthfully declare ownership and rights. Setting royalty rates is allowed, but falsely claiming third-party IP or license rights is prohibited.

**3.4 Refunds & disputes** Digital asset sales are generally final. The platform may mediate disputes for off-platform payment errors or technical failures. Keep receipts and transaction hashes when filing disputes.

**3.5 Payment & sanctions compliance** Users must comply with applicable financial regulations and sanctions regimes. The platform reserves the right to freeze or block transactions that violate laws or sanctioned lists.

***

#### **4. Account security & wallet safety** <a href="#id-4.-account-security-and-wallet-safety" id="id-4.-account-security-and-wallet-safety"></a>

**4.1 You are responsible for your private keys** The platform will never ask for your private keys or seed phrase. If asked in chat or DMs, report the request immediately.

**4.2 Suspicious links & phishing** Exercise caution with DMs and social links. Verify official URLs and accounts before connecting wallets or approving transactions.

**4.3 Account takeover & recovery** If you suspect compromise, contact Support immediately with any transaction IDs and relevant info. We may freeze associated account actions while investigations proceed.

**4.4 Two-factor authentication** Enable 2FA where available. Use reputable wallet providers and keep software updated.

***

#### **5. Moderation, enforcement & penalties** <a href="#id-5.-moderation-enforcement-and-penalties" id="id-5.-moderation-enforcement-and-penalties"></a>

**5.1 Graded enforcement model** Minor infractions: warning + educational guidance. Moderate infractions: temporary suspension, content removal, restricted features. Severe or repeated infractions: permanent ban, asset delisting, reporting to law enforcement.

**5.2 Transparency and logs** Moderation actions will be logged. Where possible, moderation messages will include a reason and a link to relevant policy sections.

**5.3 Appeals process** Users may appeal decisions via the official Support portal. Appeals should include case details, relevant evidence, and a public statement if desired. Appeals are reviewed by a moderation lead and may take multiple business days.

**5.4 Emergency takedowns** In urgent cases (e.g., credible threats, doxxing, child safety, large-scale fraud), content or accounts may be suspended immediately without prior warning.

***

#### **6. Reporting abuse, scams & security incidents** <a href="#id-6.-reporting-abuse-scams-and-security-incidents" id="id-6.-reporting-abuse-scams-and-security-incidents"></a>

**6.1 How to report** Use the in-platform report button for quicker triage. For urgent threats, contact Support and tag a moderator in official channels. Provide URLs, transaction hashes, screenshots, and a timeline.

**6.2 What to expect after reporting** We will acknowledge receipt, triage the report, and take appropriate action (content removal, account review, escalation). We cannot always share details of enforcement actions taken against other users for privacy reasons.

**6.3 Scam reimbursements** The platform does not guarantee reimbursement for on-chain theft. In very limited cases (server errors or proven platform-side failures) the team may offer remediation; this is discretionary.

***

#### **7. Intellectual property, licensing & creator rights** <a href="#id-7.-intellectual-property-licensing-and-creator-rights" id="id-7.-intellectual-property-licensing-and-creator-rights"></a>

**7.1 Ownership & licenses** Creators retain IP rights to their original works unless they sign them away in a partnership or licensing agreement. Publishing on the platform grants the project a non-exclusive license to host, display, and promote the work.

**7.2 Content moderation vs IP control** Content removal under IP claims follows accepted legal processes (e.g., DMCA takedown in applicable jurisdictions). Counter-notice procedures are available to contest improper takedowns.

**7.3 Attribution & moral rights** When using community assets or templates, respect attribution requirements. Do not remove or spoof creator credits where attribution is required by license.

***

#### **8. Developer, API & integration rules** <a href="#id-8.-developer-api-and-integration-rules" id="id-8.-developer-api-and-integration-rules"></a>

**8.1 Responsible API use** API keys are for authorized integrations only. Do not share or embed keys publicly. Abusive or resource-hungry API access may be rate-limited or revoked.

**8.2 Data collection & scraping** Automated scraping of user data, marketplace listings, or private chats without explicit permission is prohibited. Use official endpoints and follow rate limits.

**8.3 Third-party services & plugins** Integrations that request user keys or private keys are not permitted. If you build third-party tooling for distribution, you must include clear security documentation and not misrepresent affiliation with the platform.

***

#### **9. Events, contests & promotions** <a href="#id-9.-events-contests-and-promotions" id="id-9.-events-contests-and-promotions"></a>

**9.1 Official vs community events** Official events are only those announced through official channels or staff accounts. Community events are allowed but should not imply official endorsement unless approved.

**9.2 Fairness & transparency for contests** Contests must publish clear rules, eligibility, prize details, and winner selection methods. Any changes must be publicly posted and communicated to participants.

**9.3 Sponsorship & paid placements** Promotional placements on official channels must follow disclosure rules. Paid promotions must be properly labeled (e.g., “Sponsored”).

***

#### **10. Social media & cross-platform rules** <a href="#id-10.-social-media-and-cross-platform-rules" id="id-10.-social-media-and-cross-platform-rules"></a>

**10.1 Staff impersonation & verified accounts** Staff verification is managed by the platform. Impersonation of staff or official accounts is prohibited. If you think an account is fake, report it.

**10.2 Posting to official feeds** Only authorized community managers may post announcements on official accounts. User submissions may be featured after approval — featuring does not imply editorial endorsement of all user statements.

**10.3 Community posts that reference the platform** When posting about the platform on social channels, avoid false claims (e.g., guaranteed earnings, unrealized promises). Use accurate screenshots and do not share private conversations without consent.

**10.4 Cross-posting rules** If you repost content from other channels into official spaces, ensure it complies with this policy and attribute sources properly.

***

#### **11. Privacy, data & KYC** <a href="#id-11.-privacy-data-and-kyc" id="id-11.-privacy-data-and-kyc"></a>

**11.1 Data collection & storage** The platform collects standard account data (email, wallet addresses, usage logs) per the Privacy Policy. Sensitive information (private keys, unencrypted payment data) should never be shared with staff.

**11.2 KYC & AML** Certain financial operations (large transfers, fiat on-ramp services, enterprise partnerships) may require KYC/AML. We will only request documents through secure, official channels and will explain why the data is needed.

**11.3 Data retention & deletion** Users may request account deletion or data export per applicable privacy laws. Some transactional or compliance records may be retained as required by law.

***

#### **12. Legal compliance & sanctions** <a href="#id-12.-legal-compliance-and-sanctions" id="id-12.-legal-compliance-and-sanctions"></a>

**12.1 Compliance with laws** Users must comply with applicable laws in their jurisdiction. The platform may block features or transactions in jurisdictions where they are restricted or prohibited.

**12.2 Sanctions & restricted jurisdictions** The platform enforces sanctions lists and may restrict access for users or entities from sanctioned regions or flagged accounts.

***

#### **13. Enforcement transparency & policy updates** <a href="#id-13.-enforcement-transparency-and-policy-updates" id="id-13.-enforcement-transparency-and-policy-updates"></a>

**13.1 Policy updates** These rules may change. Material changes will be announced in official channels and via email where required. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.

**13.2 Transparency reports** The platform strives to publish periodic transparency reports summarizing moderation actions, safety trends, and policy changes (redacted for privacy where necessary).

**13.3 Contact & feedback** For questions about policy or to request clarifications, contact Support or the Trust & Safety team via the official help portal.

***

#### **14. Appeals, remediation & rehabilitation** <a href="#id-14.-appeals-remediation-and-rehabilitation" id="id-14.-appeals-remediation-and-rehabilitation"></a>

**14.1 How to appeal** File an appeal in the Support portal within the time window specified in your enforcement notice. Provide context, evidence, and any corrective actions you’ve taken.

**14.2 Remediation steps** For minor violations, completing an educational course or making public apologies may be part of remediation. Reinstatement decisions consider history and the seriousness of the violation.

***

#### **15. Special notes for creators, landowners & enterprise partners** <a href="#id-15.-special-notes-for-creators-landowners-and-enterprise-partners" id="id-15.-special-notes-for-creators-landowners-and-enterprise-partners"></a>

**15.1 Landowner responsibilities** LAND owners who host public experiences are expected to enforce local rules within their parcels and cooperate with platform enforcement requests (e.g., remove abusive users, revoke unfair monetization).

**15.2 Enterprise partners & sponsors** Enterprise partners must comply with the same community standards and will be held to additional contractual obligations. Breaches of contract can lead to partnership termination.

***

#### **16. Quick summary — do’s and don’ts** <a href="#id-16.-quick-summary-dos-and-donts" id="id-16.-quick-summary-dos-and-donts"></a>

**Do:** Be respectful and constructive. Use official channels for support and reporting. Protect your private keys and personal info. Credit creators and follow licensing rules. Read contest and event rules before participating.

**Don’t:** Share private keys or seed phrases. Post illegal or abusive content. Attempt to manipulate markets or defraud users. Impersonate staff or falsely claim official endorsement. Scrape or abuse APIs outside permitted use.

***

#### **Where to find help & report violations:** <a href="#where-to-find-help-and-report-violations" id="where-to-find-help-and-report-violations"></a>

*Use the in-platform Report button for immediate incidents. Open a Support ticket via the help portal for account, financial, or policy appeals. For urgent safety threats or imminent danger, contact your local emergency services in addition to reporting to the platform. It is most convenient to create a ticket in the our Discord server, there are the most detailed instructions (chanel ''Support'').*

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://hellstreet.gitbook.io/hellstreet-docs/about-the-game/rules.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
