# 💻 System Requirements

**Below are the supported system requirement tiers and recommended configurations for running HellStreet as a player, creator (tools), event host, or operator (HSC server). Tables show practical, real-world hardware classes (minimum → recommended → high-end) across Windows / macOS / Linux.**

{% hint style="info" %}
📌 **Notes:**

* HellStreet is built to scale across desktop client (best fidelity), browser preview (lower fidelity), and mobile companion (limited features).
* “HellStreet Create” refers to the infrastructure layer (server nodes / instance hosts) — see server section.
* Disk space numbers include room for client + cache + downloaded world assets. Adjust storage for large creator asset libraries.
* Always use up-to-date GPU drivers and OS updates for best results.
  {% endhint %}

<summary>A bit about WHY you need that much resources</summary>

`System Requirements (Creator Platform)`
\
`HSC is the core creation and world-building platform behind HellStreet.`
\
`Unlike the player client, HSC is used by creators, developers, and teams to design,`
\
`build, test, and publish interactive worlds.`

`Because HSC includes a visual editor, asset processing tools, real-time preview`
\
`systems, and collaboration features, it requires more system resources than standard`
\
`gameplay. Performance depends not only on the platform itself, but also on the`
\
`complexity of the worlds being created — including scene size, asset quality,`
\
`lighting, and active scripts.`

`HSC is optimized for flexibility and scalability, allowing creators to work on`
\
`anything from small social spaces to large-scale, highly interactive environments.`
\
`However, for smooth workflows — especially when working with large assets or`
\
`multi-user testing — a higher-end configuration is strongly recommended.`

`Typical Hellstreet Create usage includes:`
\
`Building and editing worlds using the visual editor;`
\
`Importing and managing assets (models, textures, animations, audio);`
\
`Running local previews and multiplayer test sessions;`
\
`Configuring monetization, metadata, and publishing settings;`
\
`Collaborating with other creators through shared projects and asset vaults;`

`While HSC is accessible on mid-range systems, professional creators and teams`
\
`are encouraged to use recommended or high-end hardware to fully utilize advanced`
\
`features and maintain stable performance during development.`

#### Cloud / Virtualized / Streaming (Windows Cloud)

<table><thead><tr><th>Tier</th><th>OS</th><th>CPU</th><th>RAM</th><th width="128">Disk</th><th>Network</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>Minimal cloud instance</td><td>Windows Server 2019 / Windows 10 cloud image</td><td>2 vCPU</td><td>4 GB</td><td>30 GB</td><td>50 Mbps</td></tr><tr><td>Standard cloud instance</td><td>Windows 10/11</td><td>4 vCPU</td><td>8–16 GB</td><td>100 GB NVMe</td><td>200 Mbps</td></tr><tr><td>GPU cloud / streaming</td><td>Windows 10 + GPU passthrough</td><td>8+ vCPU + RTX A5000 equivalent</td><td>32 GB</td><td>200 GB NVMe</td><td>1 Gbps</td></tr></tbody></table>

{% hint style="info" %}
Cloud streaming (GeForce NOW / AWS Gamelift / Azure PlayFab) is supported for players who prefer streaming the client. Use high-bandwidth instances and consider adaptive bitrate streaming for fluctuating networks.
{% endhint %}

#### Recommended Drivers, Middleware & Software <a href="#recommended-drivers-middleware-and-software" id="recommended-drivers-middleware-and-software"></a>

**GPU drivers:** NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready (latest stable), AMD Radeon Adrenalin (latest), Apple Studio Drivers on macOS when applicable. **Runtime / APIs:** DirectX 12 (Windows), Vulkan (Linux), Metal (macOS) — ensure latest SDKs are present. **Containers:** Docker 20.10+, Kubernetes 1.24+ for HSC deployment. **Databases & caches:** PostgreSQL 13+, Redis 6+, RabbitMQ 3.8+. **Storage:** S3-compatible object storage for large asset delivery; IPFS/Arweave for decentralized metadata archives.

#### Quick Troubleshooting Checklist (client) <a href="#quick-troubleshooting-checklist-client" id="quick-troubleshooting-checklist-client"></a>

* Update GPU drivers and OS.
* Switch to SSD / NVMe if using HDD.
* Lower in-game world and character quality (LOD) if you see stutter.
* Use wired Ethernet for events; avoid high Wi-Fi congestion.
* Clear local asset cache if textures look corrupted.
* Collect client logs and timestamps before filing a support ticket.

#### How to choose the right tier <a href="#how-to-choose-the-right-tier" id="how-to-choose-the-right-tier"></a>

**Casual player / browser user:** Browser preview on integrated GPU or minimum desktop tier. **Regular player / social hub visitor:** Recommended desktop tier (16 GB RAM, GTX 1660 / equivalent). Creator & artist: High memory (32 GB), NVMe scratch disk, GPU with 8+ GB VRAM. **Event organizer / festival:** Use HSC standard / high concurrency nodes; place nodes close to expected player regions and use autoscaling. **Enterprise / private deployment:** Consider self-hosted HSC nodes with dedicated DB clusters, private L2 relayer, and contractual SLAs.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://hellstreet.gitbook.io/hellstreet-docs/introduction/system-requirements.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
